2nd Annual Meeting of the ISHR-Southeast Asian Section
The 2nd Annual Meeting of ISHR-SEA will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 28th–29th April 2026, at Komune Living & Wellness, Cheras.
Following the success of the inaugural ISHR-SEA meeting in Singapore, the 2026 edition will bring our community together in the vibrant capital city of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is a dynamic metropolis where tradition meets modernity—iconic skyscrapers such as the Petronas Twin Towers rise alongside centuries-old mosques, temples, and colonial architecture.
Kuala Lumpur is also a melting pot of cultures, reflecting Malaysia’s rich multi-ethnic heritage. Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities, among others, shape the city’s diverse traditions, festivals, and ways of life. This diversity is perhaps best expressed through its cuisine—ranging from flavorful hawker fare like nasi lemak, satay, and roti canai, to world-class fine dining experiences. The city also offers vibrant street markets, lush green parks, and a gateway to Malaysia’s wider natural and cultural treasures.
The meeting will bring together basic scientists, translational researchers, and clinicians to share the latest advances in cardiovascular research. Sessions will cover heart failure, metabolism, ischemic heart disease, vascular biology, regenerative therapy, new technologies, and metabolic disease. The program will feature keynote lectures by leading experts from around the globe, a Young Investigator Award competition, rapid-fire abstract presentations for early career investigators, and poster sessions with prizes.
With the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur’s rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality, the 2nd ISHR-SEA Annual Meeting promises not only an outstanding scientific exchange but also a memorable cultural experience.
